Our family business was founded in October 1995 by my father in Nagymányok. Initially, he fulfilled small orders for local families and friends using a ZUK A-11 small truck.
Over the years, he was able to continually expand his network of partners and increase the number of orders, which allowed me to join him. In February 2006, we co-founded Bari-2006 Ltd. together.
At that time, we formulated the goal of conquering Europe and expanding the company!
Within 3 months, we purchased our second van and, within a year, hired our first two drivers, expanding the team to 4 members. Our next milestone was reached in 2012 when we acquired our first used tractor unit and began larger-scale transportation for our agricultural partners. We are extremely proud of this achievement, as these partnerships continue to thrive successfully.
Recognizing the need for modernization in response to various market changes, we introduced a modern and reliable ERP system in 2018. This system enables more professional and intelligent management of Bari Trans. By utilizing smart devices, we handle the backend tasks of our shipments, allowing us to operate our business paperlessly and in an environmentally conscious manner.
Building on our successes in the agricultural sector, in 2018 we purchased, renovated, and opened our own warehouse to provide storage services for our clients. This allows them to focus on growing their business while we handle the storage and picking of their palletized goods. In the same year, we made the strategic decision to replace our tractor units with new, 0 km EURO VI standard trucks. This upgrade enabled us to expand our portfolio and take on more complex shipments, reduce emissions, and ensure stable quality in the transportation of our clients' goods across Europe.
In 2024, we welcome the next major milestone for our company as we prepare to digitize our freight forwarding and logistics services. This means we will leverage remote and secure IT infrastructure to enter the market of outsourced transport organization. With this step, we will expand our portfolio with a new service offering. In preparation for this, we have decided to rename our company to Bari-2006 Ltd.
For the execution of our current short-term van-based domestic transports our plans include the arrival of the first electric vehicle in our fleet by 2025, further advancing our company towards a greener future.
